SUMMARY:Cafè Theology
DESCRIPTION:Books for this year:\n\nProthero\, Stephen\, “God is Not One”\, HarperOne\, 2010\n\nTaylor\, Barbara Brown\, “Holy Envy”\, HarperOne\, 2019\n\nWillimon\, William\, “Fear of the Other”\n\nPortions of these books may be read concurrently as we look at a specific religion.  The classes this year will also offer guest speakers and possible field trips\, so dates for these events may be either added to the calendar\, or used to substitute for a regularly scheduled class discussion on Saturdays.  I have tried to coordinate this years’ schedule with other events happening on campus so hope that we are not bumped by a conflicting event.  I’ll try and get out any changes as far in advance as possible.  Classes are held on Saturdays. From 10:00-11:30am\, except where noted.\n\nMarch 7           Buddhism:  GOD\, Chapter 5; HOLY\, Chapter 3 (Wave\, Not Ocean)\n\nMarch 21         Buddhism:  tour or speaker\n\nApril 4              Daoism:  GOD\, Chapter 8\n\nApril 18            Christianity\, Part III:  HOLY\, Chapter 8 & 9\n\nMay 5               Christianity\, Part IV: HOLY\, Chapter 10 & 11\n\nMay 16             Atheism; Class Wrap Up:  GOD\, Chapter\n\n9\, Conclusion; HOLY\, Chapter 12 (The Final Exam) & Epilogue
