SUMMARY:Bury the Alleluias
DESCRIPTION:The season of Lent is coming up!  It is a solemn season of the church\, a time of serious reflection\, turning from our sins\, and seeking the Lord.  Because of the solemn nature of Lent\, we do not say "Alleluia\," since it's a word of celebration.  In preparation for Lent\, the children will participate in a Liturgy to bid farewell to our "Alleluias" and bury them for the season of Lent.  The Burial of the Alleluias will take place on Sunday\, February 15th\, the last Sunday before Lent starts.  Children can participate by coloring Alleluias in Sunday School\, and by participating in the Liturgy for burying the Alleluias at the 10:30 am service.
