The feast of St. Francis occurs on October 4. The feast commemorates the life of Saint Francis, who lived in the 12th century and is the Catholic Church's patron saint of animals and the environment. A 20 minute "sit" beginning at approximately 6:15 p.m. in the sanctuary is followed by a book study or conversation related to the practice of the Prayer. Newcomers are always welcome. For more information, please contact the church office. Note: Tuesday, February 28 is Shrove Tuesday. The centering prayer group will do a 20-minute sit beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m., and then attend the Pancake Supper. Please join us!
