Café Theology

RESUMES ON AUGUST 1

We meet in the church library from 10:00 to 11:30 on the First and Third Saturday of each month. We share a light breakfast and coffee to maintain our café theme. Nice way to study theology!  No past education in theology is necessary to join this class. All that is needed is an interest in different ideas and opinions built around life experience and the insights shared by the chosen books and authors. Father Tim leads us in our discussion.

CURRENT BOOK

Why Did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed Cross the Road?
By: Brian D. McLaren

Can you be a committed Christian without having to condemn or convert people of other faiths? Is it possible to affirm other religious traditions without watering down your own?

Great read and wonderful to discuss. If you haven’t been to a Cafe Theology meeting in the past, please jump in with this book. Even the title is engaging. Please join the class on August 1st. Even if you have not caught up with the reading so far you will feel perfectly comfortable joining in the group conversation.
