The Feast of St. Francis Blessing of the Animals NEXT Sunday, October 6, 2019 2:00 p.m. In the Lower Gardens (beside the undercroft) All pets welcome. Dogs should be on leash; cats and other pets should be similarly contained. The feast of St. Francis occurs on October 4, commemorating the life of Saint Francis, who lived in the 12 century and is the Catholic Church's patron saint of animals and the environment.
