St. Matthew’s Knit, Crochet, and Pray Ministry is under the auspice of The International Order of St. Luke, Snellville Chapter. A fun, fulfilling, and calming ministry — come join in to help others and make powerful connections! Through this rewarding ministry, we share joy, comfort, and hope with our church and the wider community.
We invite you to join us in the library (located off the parish hall) every Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
All are welcome!
We have people available to teach knitting, crochet, and beading. Yarn is available for free. If you can’t join us on Thursdays in person, we have a donation box at the back entrance to the church. Please donate hats, scarves, gloves, yarn, beads and crosses!
Wrapping yourself in a prayer shawl centers your heart on God, allowing you to feel God’s loving embrace and presence. These shawls, alongside prayer scarves and squares, serve as tangible reminders of God’s grace and are blessed on the altar during our services.
Preemie caps and blankets are provided to Northside Hospital.
Birthday placemats created for residents of Delmar Gardens Nursing Home.
Hats and scarves are created for multiple purposes, including the Rosebud Sioux Tribal Reservation.
